About me

Heather Albrecht
Heather Albrecht
Digital Strategist & Trainer
I have three passions in my life (well, three I’m willing to mention here).
I’m passionate about the New Marketing Values, Mindful Living and Corporate Wellbeing.
My passion and philosophy about the New Marketing Values has grown out of my 25+ years in advertising and marketing, influenced most by my focus on digital and direct marketing – learning about people and Values from a more personal, 1:1 perspective. (‘Values’ are not to be confused with value, yet the right Values do drive business value. Values are at the heart of what determines our beliefs, attitudes and actions as marketers.)
I believe the new Values driving marketing success these days arise from the digital landscape, what it means to be successful in digital marketing equates to overall marketing success. These new Values are Transparency, Collectivism, and Collaboration.
To help marketers embrace these new Values and the world of digital marketing, I am both a Digital Strategist and Trainer. I find the two often work best hand-in-hand. There is a vast skills gap in most marketing organizations today and it’s holding individuals and organizations back. Digital marketing can be tough; impenetrable language, constantly changing technologies, unclear business process and evolving models for marketing and trading. And this skills gap or simple ignorance (don’t know what I don’t know) is one of the core cultural challenges that prevent the necessary change to keep up with the changes in consumer behaviour.
Digital training is one of the quickest ways to close this skills gap. And training environments provide fertile ground for work-shopping new digital strategies, ideas, and programs.
My second passion is Mindful Living – sounds very high and mighty doesn’t it? Truly it is anything but. I believe simply that each day we live there are a series of choices to be made. Some choices are seemingly trivial while others appear to shape our entire life. Mindful Living recognizes that the power to change our lives lies in the choices we make every day. Choices made with awareness serve us and our communities best.
Over the past 20 years I’ve been practicing Mindful Living through my own personal self-awareness practices of Yoga, meditation, and the study of Self-knowledge; and teaching Yoga and meditation to others. As a yoga teacher I trained at Yoga In Daily Life. As a Holistic Health Counselor (accredited by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners) I trained at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and as a certified Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy Practitioner I studied at Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy. A very mindful and sincere thank-you to all my teachers at these remarkable organizations.
From this training I put my third passion into action and develop Corporate Wellness program, which I’ve done for both ad agencies and marketing organizations over the years. Some of the more popular themes over the years have been Food & Mood and Mindfulness Stress Reduction.
